EC000 Custom Color, Endura-Plate
Description
Endura-Plate is an ultra-durable self-crosslinking acrylic enamel for commercial, industrial, and architectural applications. Water-based, quick drying with a very hard finish, low VOC, low HAP, low odor, single component. It is suitable for both interior and exterior applications. Ideal for high-traffic areas and projects requiring quick turnaround and a hard-wearing surface.
Key Benefits
- Versatile Application: Floors, doors and trim, cabinets and furniture, industrial equipment and tanks, metal siding, appliances, schools and healthcare facilities, and office buildings and hotels. Suitable for both interior and exterior use on various surfaces including primed or painted metal, concrete, masonry, wood, dry-wall, and tile. Outstanding early block resistance and flexibility to withstand deformation without cracking. The paint offers a smooth, hard finish comparable to alkyds but with faster drying and recoat times.
- Ultra-Durable - Creates a hard, mar resistant, flexible finish that resists cracking and peeling.
- Fast-Drying - Dries to the touch in is as soon as 30 minutes and is ready for a recoat in about 1 to 2 hours, speeding up project completion.
- Excellent Adhesion - Bonds to a wide variety of difficult-to-paint surfaces*
- Versatile Applications - Suitable for both interior and exterior use on floors, doors, trim, cabinets, railings, iron fencing, shelving, fixtures, metal siding, gutters, down spouts and safety markings.
- Nearly unlimited color selection - including a clear ‘protect-a-coat’
- Protect masonry - and give stone a gloss “wet look”.
- Protect non-ferrous metal - surfaces and rejuvenate and protect old painted surfaces.
- Smooth Finish - Provides a smooth, glossy, and level finish when applied by brush, roller, or sprayer.
- Low VOC - Compliant with regulations in most areas
Substrates
- Aluminum: Some alloys require primer. Spot-test adhesion over-night before full application.
- Ceramic Tile: Sand or etch; no primer needed. Spot-test over-night.
- Concrete: Cure at least 30 days (90 preferred). Substrate pH must be <10 or use alkali-resistant primer.
- Concrete / Block: Mortar cure 30–90 days. Use block filler. Test adhesion with tape; reseal if loose.
- Ferrous Metal: Clean rust and debris; prime. Interior use may not require primer.
- Fiberglass: Sand lightly; no primer required. Spot-test adhesion.
- Galvanized Steel: Must be primed. Remove factory stabilizers before priming.
- Drywall: Countersink fasteners, fill, sand, and remove dust before priming.
- Laminate: Scuff-sand; no primer required. Spot-test adhesion.
- Plaster: Cure at least 30 days. Prime with Endura-Plate or alkali-resistant primer.
- Wood (Interior): Sand bare or poor-condition wood. Prime knots/resinous areas. Fill and smooth fasteners.
- Vinyl / Plastics: No primer needed. Spot-test adhesion. Avoid darker colors than original to reduce warping
Surface Preparation
General: Surfaces must be clean, dry, and sound. Remove loose or peeling paint, dirt, mildew, grease, oil, chalk, rust, and other contaminants. Repair sources of moisture before coating. Fill nail holes, caulk seams, and sand glossy or rough areas. New plaster, con-crete, and masonry must cure at least 30 days and be free of efflo-rescence. For bare wood, apply Bond-All Bonding Primer or use two coats of Endura-Plate with the first coat serving as a primer.
May be applied over Endura-Clad Coatings FRC - Flexible Rubber Coating, BITMAP and other sound and properly prepared substrates.
How to Apply
Can be applied with a paint brush, roller or paint sprayer. Follow suggested drying and recoat times for efficient project completion.
