1. How do I install Innoplast Bollard Covers?

1-2-3 Installation Instructions

Step One - Install 3 or 4 self-adhesive Gripper Tabs around the top of the bollard with “fingers” pointing down, and 3 or 4 more near the base of the bollard. If there is a small space to fill between the bollard and the cover, use 3 Gripper tabs evenly spaced around the bollard . To fill a larger space, use four Gripper Tabs at the top and bottom.

Step Two - Install Bollardgard over Gripper Tabs. Gripper Tabs should provide a tight installation which cannot be easily removed.

Step Three - Admire job well done.

2. What is a bollard cover?


Bollard
 - 
a bollard is a post designed to protect interior and exterior work areas - such as warehouse and super-store racks, employee work areas, pedestrian cross-ways, store fronts, gas pumps, propane tanks and other vulnerable areas - from vehicle intrusions. They can be used to selectively block some types of traffic -by adjusting the space between a row of bollards- while still allowing pedestrians or cyclists to pass between the open spaces. The can also be useful as a visual deterrent and to mark a pathway.

A typical bollard is made of steel pipe but there are other variations such as wood (posts), concrete, I-beams and so on.


3. High Densisty vs Low Density Polyethylene?

HDPE vs LDPE
 - 
HDPE and LDPE are two categories of Polyethylene. High-density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Low-density Polyethylene (LDPE) have different physical properties. Ignoring other considerations HDPE is generally denser and stronger than LDPE because of the way the molecules pack and align, and more resistant to UV and chemicals. LDPE can be more flexible.

Having said all that, substances can be added to to either to increase flexibility, UV resistance and color retention which can even out the differences between the two.
