Adhesives for Threshold Installation

We can’t recommend a specific sealant, but the following readily available adhesives are frequently used and provide strong adhesion and flexibility for securing rubber, plastics and vinyl thresholds to concrete:

• Liquid Nails Fuze-It Max – Hybrid polymer construction adhesive with excellent adhesion and flexibility.
• Other Liquid Nails Construction Adhesives – Many are polyurethane-based, offering durable bonds.
• Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive – Versatile, strong, and widely available.
• SikaFlex 221 Marine Adhesive – A highly flexible adhesive with strong adhesion to various surfaces.

👉 Note: While these adhesives generally work well on concrete, asphalt can be more challenging due to its oily nature—if bonding to asphalt, consider testing adhesion first. Whatever you choose, read the documentation and follow the instructions for best adhesion.
