Description

Description

This 49.5-ft black roll-door threshold is used to help seal the bottom of compatible roll-up, self-storage, mini-warehouse, and garage door openings. The 3" wide profile includes a 9/16" raised berm that helps block or repel wind-driven rain, snow, dirt, sand, and debris.

The 49.5-ft length is a practical option for maintenance teams, contractors, and facilities installing threshold sections across multiple openings or cutting custom lengths in the field. Thresholds are commonly used where the floor is uneven, where the door bottom seal needs additional contact, or where added protection is needed at the bottom of the opening. This threshold is made in the USA.

Fit and Compatibility

  • 3" wide threshold profile
  • 9/16" raised berm helps improve door-to-floor sealing
  • Black threshold for compatible roll-up, self-storage, mini-warehouse, and garage door openings
  • Can be cut to length for multiple compatible openings
  • Confirm that the door bottom seal can close against the raised threshold before installation
  • Adhesive is not included

Adhesives for Threshold Installation

We cannot recommend one specific sealant or adhesive for every installation, but the following readily available products are often used to secure rubber, plastic, and vinyl thresholds to concrete:

  • Liquid Nails Fuze-It Max - hybrid polymer construction adhesive with strong adhesion and flexibility.
  • Other Liquid Nails construction adhesives - many are polyurethane-based and provide durable bonds.
  • Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive - versatile, strong, and widely available.
  • SikaFlex 221 Marine Adhesive - flexible adhesive with strong adhesion to many surfaces.

Note: These adhesives generally work well on concrete. Asphalt can be more challenging because of its oily nature, so test adhesion first when bonding to asphalt. Whatever adhesive you choose, read the product documentation and follow the manufacturer's instructions for surface preparation, application, cure time, and service conditions.

Installation Notes

  • Clean and dry the floor surface before installing the threshold.
  • Remove dust, oil, loose concrete, old adhesive, or other material that may affect adhesion.
  • Test-fit and cut each section before applying adhesive.
  • Apply adhesive evenly so the threshold is fully supported along the floor.
  • Keep the door open and avoid traffic over the threshold until the adhesive has cured.
  • Check that the door closes properly and that the bottom seal contacts the threshold without binding.

This product may also be referred to as a roll-door threshold, garage door threshold, storage door threshold, raised berm threshold, or door bottom threshold seal.
