Janus Roll-Up Door Bottom Seal - 3/16" V, 1" Bulb, 24.5' Roll | JAN-STL-SEAL-V-KIT24.5
Description
Description
This 24.5-ft roll of Janus-style bottom weather seal is used to replace worn, cracked, flattened, or missing bottom seal on compatible self-storage, mini-warehouse, and other overhead doors that use an equivalent seal profile. The 3/16" V-style mount fits into the bottom seal retainer, while the 1" bulb helps close the gap between the door and the floor or threshold.
This shorter roll is a practical choice for smaller replacement jobs, repairs, or field-cut lengths where a full 100-ft roll is not needed. For larger replacement projects, maintenance work across multiple doors, or contractor use, the 100-ft roll may be the better option.
Fit and Compatibility
- Designed for Janus-style roll-up door bottom seal retainers
- Fits 3/16" V-style bottom seal tracks
- 1" bulb profile helps improve door-to-floor sealing
- Can be cut to length for multiple compatible doors
- Used on many self-storage, mini-warehouse, and compatible overhead door applications
- Review the seal measurements shown on this page before ordering
- Samples may be ordered to confirm fit before purchasing full rolls
Installation Notes
- Remove the old bottom seal and clean dirt or debris from the retainer before installing the new seal.
- Straighten crushed, bent, or pinched sections of the retainer so the new seal can slide through the track.
- If needed, use a small amount of plastic-safe, non-staining lubricant in the retainer to help the seal slide into place.
- Keep lubricants away from visible painted surfaces, hasps, latch areas, and any areas that may be repainted later.
- Avoid pulling with excessive force, which may stretch or damage the seal.
- Trim excess seal after installation and lightly crimp the track ends if needed to reduce seal movement.
Also called bottom seal, weather seal, astragal, or weather stripping, this profile helps reduce drafts, light gaps, dust, and water intrusion at the bottom of compatible roll-up doors.
